In Bungou Stray Dogs, the story is about the Armed Detective Agency. This group of “gifted” people uses their skills to solve crimes and protect Yokohama from the many street gangs. Unfortunately, Season 4’s most recent episode shows that the agency is in trouble for no reason. They were tricked into thinking they would save hostages, but they looked like the bad guys. Just as the agents were about to storm the room, they switched places with the criminals so quickly that they couldn’t figure out what had happened.
This happened because the Book is a magical object that makes whatever is written in it proper. The Decay of Angels is a terrorist group that took a page from the Book. Its members want to run a campaign against the Armed Detective Agency to make people lose faith in their work. But each member wants the Book for a different reason. Fyodor Dostoevsky has been a problem for Yokohama for a long time. In Bungou Stray Dogs, Fyodor is still a bit of a mystery. He has a dangerous ability that lets him kill someone with just one touch, and he is always very calm. But the main reason he wants to get the Book is the most convincing.
What’s in it for Fyodor?

The Book is a strange object with supernatural powers. Taneda said that the Book is an extension of an ability user’s power, but Ranpo thought it was much more potent than the abilities of the average “gifted.” Fyodor was in charge of the Rats in “The House of the Dead.” Fyodor is very interested in finding the Book. He wants to eliminate all the people in Yokohama with special powers. He used Alexander’s ability, “A Feast in Time of Plague,” to spread a deadly virus that would make the Port Mafia and Agency members sick so it would be easier to find the Book.
Fyodor says that he wants the Book to get rid of and clean up the “sins” of people. In this case, Fyodor thinks that all abilities are sins that need to be cleaned out of the world. His power is cruel, and he doesn’t mind using other people’s powers to do what he wants. He wants to get rid of everyone. He thinks of the abilities as “sins,” so he and everyone else who uses them is a sinner.
Why does Fyodor want to get rid of everyone’s skills?

In Bungou Stray Dogs, it’s clear that Fyodor is not a heartless killer like many anime terrible guys. On the other hand, he seems to think that killing is a bad thing he must do to reach his goal. Fyodor feels awful about killing people on some level. This puts Fyodor in a gripping moral situation since his ability shows how fragile life is. Fyodor’s Crime and Punishment lets him kill someone with just one touch.
The name “Crime and Punishment” also makes it sound like everything Fyodor does is a crime, so his ability is a punishment that will last forever. Fyodor calls abilities “sins” and the people who use them “sinners.” At this point, only a little is known about Fyodor’s ability. For example, it is unknown whether he can control his ability to kill. But since he cares so much about getting rid of abilities, it’s not hard to believe the second one. He’s not putting himself on a high pedestal to ensure he’s the only one in Yokohama with abilities. On the other hand, Fyodor might see himself as just as bad as his enemies. If he got rid of everyone’s abilities, including his own, he wouldn’t have to deal with the “punishment” that his ability gives him.
