Shanks Confronts Gorosei on Saturn! One Piece’s Epic Showdown!
After the defeat of Kaido and Big Mom, the Red-Haired Pirates entered a challenging period. Although they did not immediately enter Wano Country, Captain Shanks signaled that it was time to get serious in the search for the legendary treasure, One Piece. In this arduous pursuit, Shanks will face numerous obstacles, but he will also devise well-thought-out strategies to overcome all the hurdles.
The Red-Haired Pirates have long been in conflict with the Blackbeard Pirates, but when both crews share the same goal of obtaining One Piece, their enmity will escalate, potentially leading to a battle between the two groups. This will also put Shanks in trouble with the World Government. Although he currently has a certain relationship with them, it will be strained once they realize that Shanks is serious about finding One Piece. The World Government certainly does not want another pirate crew to discover the treasure, and Shanks’ intentions will undoubtedly enrage them.
The World Government is aware of the tremendous power possessed by Shanks and his formidable crew. Therefore, they may mobilize the Marine forces to stop them. Additionally, the World Government may potentially assign the Cipher Pol to confront the Red-Haired Pirates, especially since Shanks is indicated to be from the Vigarland family, one of the Nobles. While this information is derived from a non-canon One Piece film, the supervision of Ichiro Oda makes some elements in the film considered canon, such as the character Utta being an adopted legitimate child of the Vigarland family.
Furthermore, there is evidence that Shanks was discovered by the Roger Pirates in one of the treasure chests from Galvale Island. This island is known to have many Tenryubito, so it is not surprising if Shanks is also descended from one of them. Therefore, in terms of lineage, Shanks can be considered a Tenryubito, even though his current status is that of a pirate.
Shanks will face significant challenges in his pursuit of One Piece, and he understands that he needs additional strength to battle his formidable foes. While he has an alliance with some weaker pirates in the Elbaf Sea, this alliance is not strong enough to aid him in his quest. Therefore, Shanks may seek out Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk, the strongest swordsman, and propose an alliance. This alliance would benefit both parties, with Cross Guild, led by Crocodile, providing combat strength in the pursuit of One Piece, while Shanks helps them achieve their goals. It would be a mutually beneficial alliance.
It is worth noting that alliances between Yonko are not unheard of in the world of One Piece. Kaido and Big Mom previously formed an alliance to search for ancient weapons and One Piece. Therefore, it would not be surprising if the Red-Haired Pirates and Cross Guild also formed an alliance. If this were to happen, it would be an intriguing development, especially considering that Kaido and Big Mom were former members of the Rocks Pirates, as were Shanks and Bagi.
However, before Shanks meets with Cross Guild to discuss the alliance, he will not arrive empty-handed. Cross Guild has a major adversary in the Marine, and Shanks will offer them a gift in the form of Marine personnel. Shanks does not take his enemies lightly, and this is a step to initiate their discussion on good terms.
Shanks and his crew indeed have a reputation for brutality in battle. They once severed the arm of a Red-Haired Pirate who betrayed them. Therefore, it is not unthinkable that they would also commit brutal acts against the Marines before meeting with Cross Guild. In the most extreme scenario, Shanks might decide to target the Gorosei, especially if one of them happens to be on Island Eight. This would be a great opportunity for Shanks to commence his pursuit of One Piece in a dramatic fashion.
