Chainsaw Man: What exactly does Makima represent—a Hybrid, a Fiend, or a Devil?

The world of Chainsaw Man is teeming with hideous and inhuman beings that, at first, can be challenging to comprehend. There are several types of hybrids, including Fiends and Devils.

Hybrids are highly uncommon creatures because they are born from the union of a human and a devil.

They retain their human consciousness and appearance, but they can shift into human-Devil hybrids when triggered in some way.

After pulling the rope in his chest, Denji transforms into a chainsaw hybrid, making him the best example of a hybrid, although he appears to be entirely human.

Despite their similarities, fiends are more animalistic and less human.

These are Devils who, as a final resort for survival, have taken over human corpses.

They can typically be distinguished from one another based on their appearance.

Most of them have oddly shaped heads, similar to those of Beam, the Shark Fiend.

The appearances of fiends do not shift like those of hybrids; instead, they always take the guise of being half-human and half-demon.

However, devils are a race of supernatural entities that are not related to humans in any way.

They were created out of people’s worst nightmares, and their appearance is at least somewhat reminiscent of the terrors they were inspired by.

Makima enters the picture, which is why her existence is called into doubt. Although she seems fully human, Makima is the Control Devil.

She does not have a trigger as Hybrids do, she does not have demonic looks like Fiends do, and she does not appear to be the twisted physical embodiment of a particular fear; nonetheless, there is no mistake that she is a genuine Devil.
